All USSSA rules will be used except for the following modifications:
- Our season starts Sept 1 and ends Aug 31. Our ages are determined by the age the player is on April 30. Example: If the players age is 11 on April 30, 2021 they are 11u eligible in our tournaments from Sept 1, 2020 to Aug 31, 2021. Starting Sept 1, 2021 the player moves up to 12u.
- All birth certificates must be accessible at all times.
- A birth certificate challenge is $100 non refundable. If the challenge is correct the overaged player is suspended from the tournament and the team forfeits that game. If the challenge is incorrect the coach who made the challenge is suspended for the remainder of the tournament.
- Home team will be decided by coin flip in pool play
- Higher seed will have the choice of home or visitor in bracket play.
- Seeding goes by record, head-to-head, runs allowed, runs scored, in that order. If there are 3 or more teams with the same record it will automatically skip the head to head rule for all teams with that record and go to runs allowed then runs scored.
- Run rule is 15 in 3,10 in 4, 8 in 5
- If same seeds play the home team will be decided by coin flip.
- ALL TEAMS must be ready to play 30 mins before game time to stay on schedule
- Game is complete after 4 innings.
- If weather shuts down the tournament the highest two seeds remaining in the age division will receive the awards as champions & runners up. If they are the same seeds it will go by runs allowed then runs scored.
- Pitcher outs are tracked by umpires. They will be hanging on backstop. If any pitcher throws more outs than allowed that team forfeits the game 6-0 no matter what the score is. The pitcher will not be eligible to pitch the remainder of the tournament and the coach is suspended for that day. If it happens on Sunday the team forfeits and goes home. We do not want any team to go home that way but we must accurately track pitcher outs for safety and respect of the game.
- We provide game balls unless told otherwise. This is a courtesy and we want to do that for you. HR balls are yours. We do ask to trade out one of yours so you get the actual HR ball. We also ask the team batting to chase foul balls. If it becomes an issue balls are not being returned, the umpires will stop the game until balls are returned or teams will provide their own. There maybe a time that location runs out of balls for whatever reason. If you provide a ball until we get more we will make sure you get yours back.
- It is the job of both book keepers to compare scores after each inning. If there is an issue the umpire can not fix the home team book is the official score.
Rec/Lower Level Travel Team Tournaments – This means if you are a rec team you can only have 5 or less kids that are on travel teams This helps prevent the “rec team” that are actually playing in the same rec league but have an entire roster put together with kids on different travel teams. Lower level travel team as in losing record and win/loss ratio 75% or lower. (9 wins and 12 losses = 9/12=75%). If at anytime during the tournament a team entered claiming to meet these standards and lied they will be removed from the tournament on the spot.
Policies
- Entry fee must be paid in full to make the schedule. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS. We have dealt with too many bad checks, teams not paying, and not showing. Its not worth our time to promote the “travel world of musical chairs”. You either want to play with us and commit or move on. Everybody involved including our staff, the other coaches and teams, and the scheduled umpires have other things to prepare for then to worry about the commitment of your team.
- If you drop once the schedule is completed you forfeit your entry fee unless we find a replacement team.
- If the tournament is cancelled due to not enough teams you will be given a full refund.
- If weather shuts down the tournament you will be given a refund according to games you played vs guaranteed games. If weather shuts down the tournament with no games you will be refunded the entire amount minus 7% to cover tournament expenses.
Refunds
- We run a lot of events. We have a lot of transactions and communication going on. We try to get refunds out as soon as possible. The event date is when we start taking care of refunds pertaining to it. If you have not received a refund within 5-7 business days after the scheduled event, send us an email and we will take care of you. Premierathleticsusa@yahoo.com
Protest
To protest you must have announced it at the time of the play. You will pay a non refundable $100 fee. The tournament director will talk to all umpires and both coaches to come up with a decision. Please understand the TD was not there so that is all he/she has to make a decision.
